RSVP TO!  Children of all ages are invited to annual Trunk or Treat Halloween Party on Saturday, October 27th at 6:00 pm, for the second of our “Let’s Have Fun Together” activities.  Costumes are highly recommended for children of all ages.  There will be games and pumpkins, and a pot luck supper of Sloppy Joes, corn bread, salad and dessert (sign-up sheet in the Narthex).  The party ends with Trunk-or-Treat in the parking lot at about 7:30 pm.  It is amazing what some of our parishioners do to their cars!!  Bring your family and friends….this party is open to all comers and is always SOOOOOO much fun!!
If any of you have unwanted Halloween decorations taking up space in your basement, please consider bringing them to Church on Sunday, October 21st.  It’s almost time for Trunk-or-Treat — our annual celebration of Things That Go Bump in the Night — and we’d love some “new to us” decorations to keep things fun and special for the kiddos and their grown-ups*.  All donations can be left in the lower parish hall.  (*Don’t forget — grown-ups without kiddos are welcome too!  The more the merrier!

November 4th is Bring A Friend To Church Sunday. We will have an augmented coffee hour. Plan ahead about who you might invite to join us in worship and fellowship!!

Carol Clayton has a significant number of 312 hearing aid batteries which she would like to donate to anybody at St. John’s who could use them. They are in the narthex. Thank you Carol!

The ECW is having an additional fund raiser this fall.  All the proceeds will be divided between The Cornerstone and Rev. Margaret Watson’s (Rector of the 9 parish Episcopal Church on the Cheyenne River Lakota Reservation) emergency and discretionary fund. The ECW will be selling St. John’s hoodies and fleeces, in youth and adult sizes. The prices range from $33 to $38 dollars.  There are sample jackets with the design shown in a variety of sizes, which you can see and try on. All orders must be paid in full by check in advance.  The ECW hopes that you will see the hoodies and jackets as potential Christmas gifts for loved ones. The items are on display starting this Sunday and order forms are available in the Narthex. The sale will end on November 11th. Thank you!
