Zoe Vandermeer is the music director at St. Johns Episcopal Church in Vernon, CT. She directs the choir, plays the organ and piano, and sings. Musical styles range from baroque to classical and contemporary Christian. Ms. Vandermeer is a professional opera singer, harpist, composer, and voice teacher. She has worked extensively with singers and choirs, and is a member of the New York Singing Teachers Association. Ms. Vandermeer is on the Roster of the CT Commission on Culture and Tourism, and is a prize-winning graduate of the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. Her Carnegie Hall debut took place in 2014 as First Place Winner of the B. Alexander International Vocal Competition. A native Californian, Ms. Vandermeer lives in West Hartford with her beloved cats and birds, and enjoys swimming, walking, and photographing nature.
